Overview
The Application Usage dashboard is the first tab of the Analytics section and provides a holistic overview of your users’ activity via several charts and graphs. Views can be filtered by segment (the same segments you previously used for guide targeting can be applied here) and time frame. Each section gives you a particular insight into the behavior of your users while using your application.
With the Application Usage dashboard you are able to view:
- Visitor Counts
- Visitors Overview
- Top Pages
- Top Features
- Visitors Over Time
- Page & Feature Usage Over Time
- Page Use By Visitor
- Feature Use By Visitor
- Visitors
Visitor Counts
This section shows you how many individual visitors logged into your application for Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, and Last 30 Days. These numbers will be dependent on the Segment you've applied at the top of the page. The Segment is also indicated in the top lefthand corner of the widget.
Visitors Overview
This section provides you with information on the total number of visitors who've logged into your application based on the Segment and time frame. In the example below, the date filter is set to "Last 30 Days" but this can be configured to be any date range.
The most interesting aspect of this section is that it tells you the average amount of daily time these visitors spend on the application. As you change the Segment and date range, you will notice these statistics update accordingly.
Top Pages
This section allows you to see which pages are receiving the most views. If you would like to see more analytics on your top pages click the View All Pages button in the top right of the panel.
This will transfer you to the Pages tab which will provide more in-depth analytics on each of your pages, give you the option to add more pages, and search for pages by keyword or URL.
Top Features
This section functions similarly to Top Pages but instead displays the Top Features and the number of clicks that each feature has received. Number of Clicks refers to the total number of clicks on the feature from all visitors within the segment and date range specified at the top of the page.
If you would like to view more analytics on your top feature click the View All Feature button denoted by a cursor in the top right panel - this will bring you to the features tab.
Note: Only features with click data will appear in this tab.
Visitors Over Time
This section displays how many of your visitors accessed your application based on the date range you've specified in the filter at the top of the page. This visualization is meant to give you a quick snapshot of your user's activity.
Note: The X-axis of the graph changes based on your date range. For example, if the range is set to Yesterday the X-axis of the graph will be hours but if the range is set to Last 90 Days the X-axis is weeks.
Page & Feature Usage Over Time
Unlike the other sections, the filters for this panel are found directly to the right of the panel's name and can be used to display Views/Clicks or Visitors (2). This chart gives a visual comparison of features and pages over time.
In order to differentiate pages and features each receives its own color. If you would like to add or remove a page or feature from/to this chart you can do so from the Manage Pages or Manage Features buttons (1) respectively in the top right.
Page Use By Visitor
Based on the pages you configured in the Pages tab, this chart will show you the number of visitors per page as well as the average amount of views each page received. The number of visitors is on the X-axis while the average amount of views each page received is on the Y-axis.
When you hover over a dot on the graph, it will display both metrics (number of visitors and average amount of views).
Feature Use By Visitor
This section is nearly identical to the Page Use By Visitor view, except it displays Feature Use instead of Page Use. The number of visitors is on the X-axis while the average amount of clicks each feature received is on the Y-axis.
When you hover over a dot on the graph it will display both metrics (number of visitors and average amount of clicks).
Visitors
This section lists all the users who have visited an application. You can sort the list alphabetically by name to see how many days each user has been active and how many events they have interacted with.
If you would like to rearrange the columns you can do so by clicking the 
in the top right of the panel. Your column options will include your metadata fields to help identify and analyze who a visitor is, where they are located, and more based on the metadata fields you have chosen to pass down. Potential metadata fields you can add include Email, Language, and Department.
If you would like to download an excel spreadsheet of the data in the Visitors section, you can do so by clicking the 
icon.
